Forest trails are very different from highland, mountain and coastal trails, just to name a few. When you are surrounded by trees, the wind is gone and often life is all around you. But more, few realize that the activity continues both far over your head and under your feet, as new research has shown that trees can communicate with each other in several ways both through the tree tops and through their roots.
