Logbook 31 Dec. 2017 – Early morning in a Seven – eleven

Last day of 2017 thoughts

Text and photo by Frits Ahlefeldt, founder of Hiking.org

Started out early long before dawn on foot, walking through Copenhagen in the winter darkness, stopped by a Seven-Eleven with cheep coffee and chairs where a few homeless people were hanging out. I wished them happy new year, know a few of them a bit from my walks around Copenhagen. I like the place, come here from time to time very early in the morning and sit drinking coffee and watching people, while thinking through my day. Today is a bit special, it is the last day of 2017. Take out my laptop and start writing: Hiking.org

Every day is a strange kind of step…

“It is better to take many small steps in the right direction than to make a great leap forward only to stumble backward.”

(Old Chinese Proverb)
