Filling the basket

Thoughts and drawing on resources and how we manage them

Hiking can teach us to take better care of resources

Drawing and text by Frits Ahlefeldt, Hiking.org

When you are on foot you have to be careful about how much you bring, how you protect and carry it and how fast you use it up. Things like water, fuel and food all need to be carried along in ways that keep it safe and lasting, without waste

Long distance hikers can become experts in doing more with less and optimizing how they carry and use their resources – I’ve made a page about hiking and how it can inspire our use of resources. See my drawings and thoughts on resources here:

Taking care of resources is also about how you protect them from spilling out
