National trails as the new National Parks – Project to promote long distance hiking trails as thrive magnets for locals, wildlife and others

Text and drawings by Frits Ahlefeldt, Hiking.org

The importance of hiking trails and long distance green corridors, connecting the last standing islands of nature in our industrial agriculture landscapes can hardly be over-estimated. But we need to put much more focus on this. The Trails help nature and people thrive, so here is a project to create more and better National Trails – not only National Parks

The National Trails hiking trail project is under development ( 2017 )
