The solid bridge as experience

Text and concept sketch by Frits Ahlefeldt. Hiking.org

Bridges can be made in many ways, from the most flimsy to the solid almost ever lasting stone bridges. In Europe and other places some of them are thousand of years old. It all matters to the experience if we build the bridges like light, floating structures or like almost fortress like structures in stone or timber.

Drawing is part of hiking.org research of ways to design, build and maintain hiking trails
