The Camino De Santiago is Europe’s most crowded and famous hiking trail, more than 200.000 walked it in 2014 ( according to Wikipedia) Camino de Santiago is passing along a way, marked by the ancient, 700-1000 year old monasteries and holy places of the catholic church. Today the trail has become wery popular for people looking for time to contemplate, reflect or heal, and many head for Spain to walk the last 800km. or less of Camino de Santiago every year to follow in the footsteps of ancient pilgrims. The trail was very little used for a long time, but modern writers, such as Paulo Coelo  – who wrote “the pilgrimage” (1987) about his walk along Camino de Santiago have sparked new life into the modern movement along the old pilgrimage trail with their stories about it
